I apologize if I haven’t been able to post in my blog for awhile now. December
was a busy month because of all the Christmas shopping and family get
togethers. I had a nice time just chilling and spending time with my family.
If you have been following me on Instagram or Facebook, you
know that I was having problems with my elevated liver levels last year. I did
2 tests on September and my 2nd test showed that my levels were
going down so we were confident that I will be back to normal soon. We did a
blood test this month and were so surprised to see that my ALT levels were way
above normal. I was scared and worried so we scheduled an ultrasound to further
figure out what is wrong with me.
I got my ultrasound results the next day and the good news
is that they didn’t find any tumors or cysts in my body! Yipee! Another good
news is that I do not have a liver shunt. The bad news is that the vet thinks I have Inflammatory Bowel Disease. It's bad but not as bad as having
tumors.
I changed my diet to chicken and veggies. I have organic
sweet potatoes, white potatoes, zucchini, carrots, green beans, etc. I also get
a drop of colloidal silver in my water and food based on recommendations from a
holistic pet group.
I haven’t gone to any pet meetups lately because our main
concern is my overall health. Physically I act like a normal, healthy, happy
pup. I run around, I chill and relax when I get tired, I have a very healthy
appetite and I am playful towards Daisy (my bestfriend). If not for the blood
test results, you would think there is nothing wrong with me.
My human has gone through a lot with me in regards to my
health conditions and we figured out the best thing to go by this is to do it
the natural and holistic way. Please comment below if you have any suggestions
and information regarding Inflammatory Bowel Disease. We have gotten so many
comments and suggestions from my social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram)
and we are very thankful for the great response from everyone.
